Sample Resumes

A resume is an important part of obtaining an airline interview. There are some key factors to organizing an effective resume that is informative but not cluttered with information. The sample in this area shows a standard format that provides ample room for key pieces of information such as flight time, ratings and certificates, work experience, and education.

List Current flight times and never what you expect to have when you interview. Be sure to list only those times that will be relevant to the job you are applying for. In the case of a commuter or regional airline the following times are recommended.

  • Total Time
  • Single Engine
  • Multi Engine
  • Pilot in Command
  • PIC Cross Country
  • Dual Given
  • Actual Instrument
  • Night

The body of your resume should be neat and easy to follow. The steps bellow will help organize your resume into a simple easy to read format.

  • List your most recent employment in chronological order.    
  • Be sure to bullet point key responsibilities or assignments. Be sure to let someone else proof read your resume.
  • Make sure to include you flight training in the education section.
  • Keep your entire resume down to one page and use an easy to read font and size
