Document Prep
prepare your personal information and documents for review at
an airline interview.
Resume (airline specific)
Original &
3 Copies of Drivers License (be sure that your driver silence is not expired)
Original & 3 Copies of Pilots certificate (make sure copy is clear and readable)
Original & 3 Copies of FCC Restricted Radio Operators License (This is easy to
obtain but requires about two weeks to arrive)
Original & 3 Copies of all college transcripts (we recommend requesting two
certified copies of your transcripts, this way you can open one to make copies
of and still have the second unopened copy in case an airline requests a still
sealed envelope)
Original & 3 Copies of all high school transcripts (if you were still in high
school within the past ten years you will need to request copies of your
transcript, same as above applies)
Original & 3 Copies of driving record (though not always required, we recommend
obtaining your driving record to review in the event there is an error to
dispute)
Original & 3 Copies ATP written (to be competitive at the interview an ATP
written is always recommended)
Letters of Recommendation (don’t just request letters of recommendation from
pilots; teachers, professors, and supervisors at non-flying jobs are also
valuable. These letters should give examples or your piloting abilities, work
ethic, and personality)
Original & 3 Copies Copy of current US Passport (Start this process as soon as
possible as it may make take an extended period of time. It is very costly to
expedite this process, starting early can save you time and money)
Original & 3 Copies of social security card (for identification and background
purposes, this number will be required. A card is the only valid proof for some
employers)
Original & 3 Copies Copy of Birth Certificate (a birth certificate is one of two
items needed to replace a missing passport, for this reason we recommend always
maintaining this document at home in a safe place)
Copy of IRS W-2 (Several
airlines require candidates to bring W-2's to verify periods of unemployment.
When not in school or employed a W-2 will show that the candidate was in fact
not collecting compensation from an employer. This will show they are not hiding
a problem in their employment past. The number for the IRS office is
1-800-829-1040)
10
year residence history (no more than a 30 day gap)
10
year school history (if you are not in school you should be working)
10

4

relatives)
Original & 3 Copies Marriage certificate (if applicable)
